Recent Scam Involving a Fake BDX Listing
We were recently contacted by a customer who attempted to purchase a BDX Performance Programmer from a suspicious website: supplyautomoto.com
After sending payment, they never received the product. This website is not an authorized SCT dealer, and we strongly advise against purchasing from them or similar unknown platforms.
How to Spot a Scam
Scammers are getting smarter — but there are always red flags to watch for:
- Unrealistically low prices
If it’s significantly cheaper than the going rate, there’s a reason. SCT does not authorize pricing that undercuts our authorized partners’ cost. - No physical address or real contact info
Fraudulent sites rarely list phone numbers or have actual support teams. - Generic or unfamiliar URLs
If you’ve never heard of the website, or the name feels off, trust your gut and investigate further.

What To Do If You’ve Been Scammed
If you believe you’ve purchased from a fraudulent site or seller:
- Report the incident to the Federal Trade Commission at reportfraud.ftc.gov
- Dispute the charge with your bank or credit card provider as quickly as possible
- Contact SCT Support so we’re aware of the issue and can warn other customers
